Nike Chillemi's Deadly Designs

About the Book:
Private investigator Veronica "Ronnie" Ingels teams up with Deputy Dawson Hughes to find a geeky radio broadcaster's missing wife and young daughter. They fear the woman and child were taken by Islamic terrorists as revenge against the husband's pro-Israel, conspiracy theory broadcasts. The investigation takes Ronnie and Hughes from a manicured Connecticut estate, to interviews with an elitist A-List society crowd, and run-ins with cranky local police detectives. Then they plunge deep into the seamy, drug-riddled underbelly of the fashion world, with the specter of international terrorism hovering.

Hughes has recently been promoted to lieutenant in the Taylor County, Texas Sheriff's Department. He's on leave on a special assignment with Authorized Operations (AO), a clandestine, quasi-government agency operating out of a sea-side mansion in Hither Hills, NY. The only thing is, many powerful politicians, and government big-wigs claim Authorized Operations doesn't exist.

Ronnie is furious at both Hughes and the broadcaster for waiting thirty-six hours to start the search. She knows the longer it takes, the less chance there is of finding the child alive. The problem is, radio talk-show host Ed Harper has been hoping-against-hope that his pot-smoking, model wife is on one of her 'esoteric experiences' and has simply taken the child while she romps for a few days. He doesn't want to seriously consider the other, more hazardous possibility… that his radio broadcasts have angered some very dangerous people.

Wakulla Book Review: He Who Has an Ear, Who the Seven Churches of Revelation are Today, by Laura J. Davis

He Who Has an Ear by Laura J. Davis is a good book! First, it is easy to read. It’s nice to have a religious-type book written so a regular mere mortal can grasp the points being made by the author. The chapters are set up so that questions are anticipated and addressed. Additionally, there are enough historical references to make the chapters interesting, yet not so much detail as to become a bore. In other words, this book strikes a perfect balance. I also found the Scriptural references done in such a way as to communicate the point without becoming oppressive.

The book allows for the reader to ponder not only the churches of today as they related to the churches in Revelation, but it also allows the reader to consider the personal aspects of being a church member and spiritual member of the family of God. There is likely some good food for thought for anyone who reads this book.

I think the author displays a refreshing bravery in “telling it like it is” when she discusses the “wolves” in chapter 12. I was surprised to see some of my feelings about current “big-time” ministries put on paper. While the author, a former Christian singer, may have had health related issues which ended her singing ministry, her work here “sings” to me like one of those old-time gospel songs. This is also the only book about a “Revelation topic” that I have ever enjoyed. Great book! Read it!

Wakulla Book Review: Seventh Dimension - The Castle, Book 3, a Young Adult Fantasy

Wakulla Book Review

Seventh Dimension Series – The Castle,
a Young Adult Fantasy, Book 3

Summary:  Chased by the Romans for crimes he didn't commit, Daniel takes refuge among the crowds headed to Jerusalem for Pesach. There he becomes a witness to the events surrounding and including the death and resurrection of Yeshua.

In a quest for Daniel's soul, demons use lies and temptations to keep these truths from shattering his traditional Jewish beliefs, which say that Yeshua was only a prophet—not the Meshiach promised of old. But God has other plans. Through Yeshua's acts of mercy and love and selfsacrifice, Daniel finally accepts that Yeshua is the Savior of the world.

With a well-hidden twist at the end, Roberts reveals that the Lord's plans for Daniel are only beginning, and that he is far more important to his Jewish brethren—and the world—than initially thought.

Author's purpose:  Through a clear and concise presentation of the
Passion Week, Judaism is shown that its Meshiach has already come.

Themes: Roberts uses the fulfillment of Old Testament requirements: By his own sacrifice, he became the foretold priest; by his lineage, he sits on the throne as king; and as the one told of by Moses, he was the prophet to come, to prove that Yeshua was the Son of God.

Did I enjoy the book: Yes. As one redeemed, it reaffirmed all I have come to believe and assured me that the rock on which I stand is truly the cornerstone from which the promises spring.

About the book:
It all began with a pocket knife which led to a mysterious inscription which led to a wolf. But there are no wolves in Delaware...or are there? It's up to the Delaware Detectives to find out.
·       In book one, Abby and Jamie, along with their friends Scott and Phyllis, followed a trail of tantalizing clues to uncover a hidden fortune.
·       In book two, the curious siblings embarked on a nearly-impossible mission to find a missing man.
·       Book three thrusts the detective team into a new mystery they are determined to solve no matter where the clues may lead. But are the kids prepared to discover what's really lurking in the woods of Beaver Valley?

While this book is appropriate for readers of all ages, gender and educational status, it was designed with the homeschool student in mind. To that end, the book contains a Glossary of Terms that can be used in the subject of Spelling and Vocabulary. The author has also included a Science Center, a History Hideout and a special Art Academy—all of which provide valuable insight and activities based on information from within the story itself. Wakulla Book Review: Every Hill and Mountain by Deborah Heal

A very good ending to a very good series. I most enjoyed the book and the series. It was a well-written book that had some very bad thoughts, that were handled most expertly.

When a person starts to write about the slavery question, and ends up with a book such as one the author has written here, and does a superb job of it, then kudos to her. This lady has my apple to nibble on whenever she desires.

The last few pages of book three did an outstanding job of full disclosure upon the whole series. Outstanding.

This has to be the most bestest three book series I have read in quite some time. Thank you so much for your effort in getting it to me.

From the publisher:
Charlie has a dilemma. Christmas is approaching and he wants to give his teacher a special gift. He’s been saving his money to purchase a present for Miss James but until he and Emma make a trip to visit Nana, he isn’t quite sure what he will do. Join Charlie and Emma as they learn more about the third jar — spending wisely — and why it’s just as important as the giving and saving jars. “Nana’s 3 Jars: Spending Wisely” is an interactive book for adults to read and then make hot chocolate mix with children using the recipe in the back of the book. It is the third and final book in the “Nana’s 3 Jars” series.

My review:
Carol Round’s delightful third book of her series of children’s stories with a moral is a great read with sweet illustrations to subtly teach children about giving gifts with a purpose. Gifts are personal and meaningful when they come from the heart and are created with thought, based on affordability. The stories are based on a lesson Charlie and Emma’s grandmother teaches about earning and saving money, when to give, and when to spend it. Charlie visits his grandmother on the farm and sees the perfect holiday gift for his teacher. His grandmother and mother help him create the gift using donations and purchased items from his savings for him to give.

Included in the book are the directions for this gift—hot chocolate mix in a jar, directions, as well as labels to create readers’ own Saving, Giving, Spending jars. Beautifully illustrated, not too long for a good sit-down read, and easily read.

Volumes One and Two, Giving Generously, and Saving Pennies, are available as well.
See Carol Round's Amazon Page, US, for more information.

Wakulla Book Review: Unclaimed Legacy by Deborah Heal

As an audio book also

As the second book in a three-part series, this book should have been less than the first one was. Actually, it was just as good if not better. A very well written and thought out book. A very good basis for her characters.

This lady has an ability to get an exact mileage out of the characters that she places in front of you. I won’t lie and say that I like all of her characters, which I don’t, but I will say that she uses each one to the best of her ability. Also that ability is increasing along with her story plots.

My personal feelings are that this is a special 10.5 out of 10 on the scale., an exceptional work given to us to enjoy, and I truly did so.
