“Love,
Justice and Power” by Martin Roth
This is a brief study of the Passover, as
recorded in Exodus 12-14. It is very well written and gives great insight in a
concise manner. God is portrayed as being a personal God who wants a relationship
with us. God is also revealed to desire us to glorify Him through our lives.
Explaining the Passover as a model for the
work of Christ, we see that Jesus is the unblemished Lamb that God sacrificed
so His judgement could pass over us. The Passover as the means of leading the
Israelites out of Egyptian captivity symbolizes Christ Jesus’ sacrifice leading
us out of sin’s captivity!
The Love God displayed during the Passover
is a mere shadow of the Love God displayed on Calvary.
The power of God to part
the sea and lead Israel through safety before drowning their pursuers is
minuscule to the power of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus.
In short, the message of Passover is the Message of JESUS!
Excellent study! Four and a half stars! I
subtracted a half because I wanted more!!
