About the Book
Restoration is a Christmas novella which tells a twenty-five-year love story. Nurse Rebecca Porter and bush pilot Kyle Warren’s relationship started terrific, tight, memorable and romantic. Kyle swept Rebecca off her feet in a remarkable marriage proposal. Their fantastic wedding day surrounded by beauty, family, words of wisdom and promises made went without a hitch. An unexpected marvelous honeymoon trip took them up in the air to enjoy the rugged landscape of Alaska. Can their storybook relationship go on without a flaw? Do they have what it takes to dig deep into their souls to heal, grow, and change? Through the years, Christmas remained Rebecca’s favorite time of year when peace reigned for a day. Love traveled with Rebecca and Kyle from the snow covered Mountains near Anchorage, Alaska to the vast ocean off Miami, Florida’s coast. Helicopters, small aircraft, speed boats, and vintage cars marked their mode of transportation in this tale of hearts won through love language, prayer, and perseverance.

Lisa’s Review
This latest tale from prolific author Robin Fuson encompasses a fairytale marriage through ups and downs.

As with most marriages, secrets, disillusionment, and shame color the relationship. Some secrets are good but some are simple acts of controlling behavior. Rebecca and Kyle can’t see past their rose-colored glasses as they set up housekeeping and become a family. Kyle’s need to keep up the appearance of perfection and Rebecca’s growing disenchantment with his financial behavior may become a deal breaker unless they get help and remember the source of the faith they both profess.

Set in lush Alaska and moving to Florida, Restoration is a romantic story for readers who are intrigued by the long haul; the reality after the initial passion, and the need to be honest and mindful of the foundation on which we build our lives.

Teens in High School in a Coming-of-Age Novel - When Darkness Tries to Hide, Book 2 in Montgomery Lake High Series

Book Review by Lorilyn Roberts

When Darkness Tries to Hide is the second book in the Montgomery Lake High Series and continues with a new story but the same kids from Montgomery High. The struggles of the Young Adults are authentic and reflect many of the issues that teens face today –  bullying, drugs, sex, self-worth, and making good choices.

I particularly liked how the author instills hope throughout the book and shows the reader how Jesus Christ truly can make all the difference. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Book Review of "The Right Person" in the Montgomery Lake High Series by Stacy A. Padula

Book Review by Lorilyn Roberts

The Right Person, Book 1 in the Montgomery Lake High Series by Stacy Padula, is a great read for teens and especially teens that struggle with self-worth. The Right Person introduces several young ladies and young men who are freshmen in high school, and they are caught in the crosshairs of coming-of-age and figuring out who they are in relationship to each other and to God as Christians—at least those who attend a church youth group.

If you are a young person and you are struggling to integrate your faith with friends, both male and female, this is the book for you. You will easily relate to the characters in the Montgomery Lake High Series.

Although I am way past my teenage years, I enjoyed reminiscing about those days long ago, and I would have enjoyed reading this as a young adult. I would have learned some things early on rather than the hard way later, and it would have reassured me that many of my insecurities were natural and common, especially when it came to dating.

Author Stacy Padula does a great job understanding the difficulties that teenagers face, and I particularly liked the upbeat ending of The Right Person. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the Montgomery Lake High Series.

Ten Years Strong, The God of Miracles - New Memoir by Diana Strickland

I talked to God and told Him that I wanted two things from Him. The first thing was that I didn't want anybody to have an opinion about my transformation. I wouldn't listen to anyone about how to dress like a Christian, what music to listen to, what shows to watch. I only wanted God to help me out. You see, in my past, I had tried to change my ways for God. I got too bored with this Christian lifestyle, so I fell right back into sin a lot worse than I was before.

This time I wanted God to work on me from the inside out. I figured that He knew what He was doing and He would help me out, and I wanted to listen to Him and Him only. The other thing I talked to God about and that was a desire to not move out of the state of New Jersey unless He told me specifically that I had to move. I didn't care what others thought or said.
